Springfield man arrested for domestic assault, held on $1,000 bail

SPRINGFIELD — A Springfield man was arrested on charges of domestic assault and is being held on $1,000 bail, police said.

The Springfield Police Department responded to a call at a residence on Jan. 18 at approximately 4:15 p.m. regarding a domestic assault.

The suspect, identified as 39-year-old Timmothy Bratton of Springfield, had reportedly left the scene before officers arrived.

Despite an initial search of the area yielding no results, Springfield police conducted an investigation that led to a probable cause for Bratton’s arrest.

Bratton later returned to the residence where police took him into custody without further incident.

He was processed at the Springfield Police Department and subsequently lodged at the Southern State Correctional Facility.

Bratton has been issued a citation to appear in Vermont Superior Court, Criminal Division, Windsor Unit, on Jan. 21 at 12:30 p.m. to face the charge.
