PROVIDENCE — Troopers at the Lincoln Woods Barracks had a busy weekend with several arrests for various offenses, including domestic assault, driving under the influence, and possession of stolen vehicles among others.
On Jan. 25, at 10:45 a.m., Eric Viera, 39, of Riverside, was detained for a domestic-related warrant following an investigation and aid from East Providence Police.
Viera was later released with an upcoming court date after being processed and arraigned.
Shortly after, at 11:14 a.m., Christina Odunaike, 23, from Pawtucket, was arrested due to a warrant for failing to appear in court on a suspended license charge.
Her arrest came after a traffic stop on Route 146 in Providence, leading to her being taken to the Women’s Intake Center.
In the afternoon, at 2:17 p.m., two arrests were made following response to a medical emergency on Route 6.
Michael Hill, 20, of Providence, was charged with violating a no-contact order, while Mario Aponte, 19, also from Providence, was apprehended on an active warrant for larceny.
Hill was taken to the Men’s Intake Center, and Aponte was handed over to Cranston Police.
Further traffic stops led to more arrests, including Damia Branca, 22, for marijuana possession, and Derik Moran, 45, for an active warrant related to shoplifting and conspiracy charges.
Moran was also turned over to Cranston Police following processing.
As the evening progressed, Ronica Dejesus, 28, from Pawtucket, was caught on a failure to appear warrant during a traffic stop and was subsequently processed and transported to the Men’s Intake Center.
Two individuals were arrested for driving under the influence with high blood alcohol levels.
Samenta Baltazard, 36, of Providence, was released to a responsible adult post-arraignment, while Libio Marroquin, 24, from Central Falls, faced additional charges and was held overnight.
On Jan. 26, just after midnight, Lisandro Balladares Guevara, 37, of Providence, was charged with DUI and refusal to submit a chemical test.
He was released to a responsible adult post-arraignment.
Lastly, at 1:46 a.m., John Huertas, 31, of Woonsocket, was arrested for possessing a stolen vehicle and held pending arraignment as a bail violator.
