Framingham man arrested on gun, drug charges after police investigation

FRAMINGHAM — A 49-year-old man from Framingham was arrested following an investigation that led to the recovery of a firearm and drugs at a Waverly St. business, police said.

The Framingham Police Department’s Evening Shift and the Community Impact Unit (CIU) joined forces to identify and apprehend the man, who was already under indictment as an armed career criminal.

During the investigation, officers seized a 9mm ghost gun handgun, a 25-round feeding device, 18 rounds of 9mm ammunition, 20.5 grams of a Class B substance, and $348 in cash.

The suspect is facing several charges, including unlawful possession of a firearm, unlawful possession of a large capacity feeding device, two counts of unlawful possession of ammunition, improper storage of a firearm, trafficking in a Class B substance, and possession of a Class B substance with intent to distribute.

Currently held on $2 million bail, the man is set to be arraigned at the Framingham District Court on Monday.

The Framingham Police Department praised the Evening Shift and CIU for their diligent work in this case.
