ORANGE — A Randolph man was cited for disturbing the peace and criminal threatening after allegedly using electronic communications to threaten a resident of Orange, police said.
According to the Vermont State Police, at approximately 3:35 p.m. on Jan. 21, troopers from the VSP Berlin Barracks were notified of a threat made via an electronic communication device.
The investigation led to probable cause that Kevin H. Lacillade, 34, of Randolph, had made direct threats to 63-year-old Joseph E. Madore Sr. of Orange.
Lacillade was issued a criminal citation for the offenses of disturbing peace by the use of electronic communications and criminal threatening.
He was released and is scheduled to appear at the Orange County Superior Court Criminal Division to answer to the charges at a later date.
The Vermont State Police did not disclose the nature of the electronic threats or the relationship between Lacillade and Madore.
The case remains under investigation, and further details will be presented in court.
