BOSTON — Boston Police announced the arrest of two men on firearms and drug trafficking charges following a raid conducted as part of “Operation Wildcat.”
On Jan. 23, at around 9:55 a.m., members of the Boston Police C-6 Drug Control Unit, Youth Violence Strike Force, and Milton Police Department executed a search warrant at a Milton residence connected to an ongoing narcotics investigation.
The warrant was for 24-year-old Edward Hassell of Milton and included his person, residence, and vehicle.
Officers secured Hassell, Joshua Ducheine, also 24 and of Milton, and another unnamed individual upon entering the premises at 91 Thacher Street.
The search resulted in the recovery of two firearms—a .40 caliber Smith & Wesson handgun with an obliterated serial number and a Smith & Wesson .357 magnum revolver.
Police also found multiple rounds of ammunition, 11 grams of fentanyl, 13 grams of cocaine, a scale, empty plastic bags, an undisclosed amount of cash believed to be from drug sales, and a cell phone used for drug transactions.
Hassell and Ducheine are facing multiple charges including unlawful possession of a firearm, possession of a firearm with an obliterated serial number, possession of a firearm in commission of a felony, unlawful possession of ammunition, trafficking Class A drugs (fentanyl), and possession with intent to distribute Class B drugs (cocaine).
