Woman arrested for hit-and-run incident in Richmond

RICHMOND — A Massachusetts woman was arrested early Friday morning following a traffic stop on Route 95 South, Rhode Island State Police said.

Regina M. Hunter, 34, of Dorchester, was taken into custody at 1:03 a.m. on an affidavit and arrest warrant for failing to stop after an accident resulting in damage to an attended vehicle.

The warrant originated from the East Providence Police Department, officials said.

The incident that led to Hunter’s arrest was not immediately detailed.

After being stopped on the highway, Hunter was transported to the Hope Valley Barracks for processing.

She was subsequently turned over to the East Providence Police Department.
