Stamford police seize drugs, cash in arrest

STAMFORD — Stamford police arrested a man and seized a large quantity of drugs and cash following a multi-week investigation, authorities said Tuesday.

Samuel Elie, 46, was taken into custody Jan. 22 as he left his residence at 13 Ivy Street.

A search of his home and another location yielded 224.9 grams of crack cocaine, 25.7 grams of powder cocaine, 211 folds of fentanyl, 113 grams of loose fentanyl, 50 oxycodone pills, and crushed ecstasy pills, according to police.

Officers also confiscated $7,687 in cash, packaging materials, scales, ammunition, and a high-capacity handgun magazine.

Elie faces three counts of sale of narcotics.

He is being held on $250,000 bond with a court date set for Feb. 5.

Additional charges are pending as the investigation continues.

Police said Elie was on parole until November 2025, and a parole remand has been issued.

The operation was conducted by the Stamford Police Department Narcotics and Organized Crime Unit in collaboration with the Drug Enforcement Administration.
