SPRINGFIELD — A routine traffic stop led to the arrest of a Chester man on multiple charges, including possession of narcotic drugs, early Monday morning.
Springfield Police Department, in collaboration with Windsor County Sheriff’s Department, reported that Joshua Snide, 39, was pulled over at 3:15 a.m. on Dec. 16 for a suspected motor vehicle violation.
Sgt. Fitzgibbons and Sgt. King were the investigating officers on the scene.
Upon further investigation, it was discovered that Snide was driving with a criminally suspended license and in violation of the conditions of his release which explicitly prohibited him from operating a vehicle without a valid license.
During processing, authorities allegedly found Snide in possession of suspected fentanyl.
Snide has been cited to appear before the Vermont Superior Court, Criminal Division, Windsor Unit on Feb. 4 for the charges brought against him.
