DANBY — A local man was arrested on two counts of first-degree aggravated domestic assault after a violent encounter on Cascade Rd., police said.
At approximately 2:57 p.m. on Jan. 23, Vermont State Police responded to a call concerning a domestic disturbance.
Upon arrival, officers learned that 60-year-old Gayle S.
Goodrich had allegedly rammed his vehicle into another driven by a family member on a public highway.
The confrontation escalated when Goodrich reportedly used a wrench to shatter the driver’s side window while the victim was still in the vehicle.
During the investigation, authorities uncovered that Goodrich had previously assaulted the same family member the day before.
Goodrich was apprehended and taken to the Vermont State Police – Rutland Barracks for processing.
He was later held at Marble Valley Regional Correctional Facility without bail pending further legal action.
