LEBANON — Lebanon Police and Fire Departments responded to a fire report at Town Fair Tire on South Main Street on Jan. 22, at around 3 a.m. where two vehicles were found ablaze in the business’s overflow parking lot.
Emergency teams quickly extinguished the fires that had been set in a wooded area.
An investigation led authorities to issue an arrest warrant for David Merrill, 55, of Claremont.
Merrill was apprehended by Claremont Police on Jan. 23 at a local apartment without resistance.
He faces charges including Criminal Trespass, Arson, and Criminal Mischief, with the latter two being Class B Felonies.
Merrill was released on bail and is expected in the 2nd Circuit Lebanon District Court for an arraignment on April 7.
Meanwhile, he remains in custody at Sullivan County House of Corrections for a probation violation.
