LEBANON — On the evening of Jan. 13, the Lebanon Police Department responded to a theft report at Jake’s Market & Deli, leading to the identification and subsequent arrest of 23-year-old Jaykob Fagans of Burlington, Vermont.

Authorities issued an arrest warrant for Fagans on charges of Theft by Unauthorized Taking after the incident at the local deli.

Nearly two weeks later, on Jan. 24, police located Fagans in the Miracle Mile area.

According to the police report, he resisted arrest, failed to follow officers’ commands, and assaulted an officer by kicking them during the apprehension.

Fagans now faces multiple charges including Theft by Unauthorized Taking, Simple Assault, Resisting Arrest, and Breach of Bail — all Class A Misdemeanors.

The Breach of Bail charge stems from a previous incident on Dec. 14, 2024, when Fagans was arrested for Disorderly Conduct and Resisting Arrest.

Following his latest arrest, Fagans was released on Personal Recognizance bail.

He is scheduled to appear for arraignment at the 2nd Circuit Lebanon District Court on April 7.
