Two hospitalized after head-on collision in Princeton

PRINCETON — Two people were transported to area hospitals following a head-on motor vehicle accident (MVA) this morning, authorities said.

Princeton Fire Department crews responded to the incident involving two cars on Route 140 (Redemption Rock Trail).

The accident prompted a collaborative emergency response, with assistance from the Westminster Fire Department, Princeton Police Department, Westminster Garage, Inc., Wachusett Regional Emergency Communications Center, and the Princeton Department of Public Works.

The conditions of the patients have not been disclosed, but they were taken to nearby hospitals for further medical care.

Route 140 was temporarily closed to traffic during the rescue and investigation but has since been reopened.

Officials have not yet released the cause of the accident or the identities of those involved.

The Princeton Police Department is investigating the incident.
