Springfield man cited for attempted larceny, court date set

SPRINGFIELD — A Springfield man was cited for attempted larceny from a person after an incident on Main Street, police reported Wednesday.

Nathan Heist, 29, of Springfield, allegedly attempted to steal an item of value from another individual during an altercation on Jan. 13.

According to Springfield police, officers responded to the scene shortly before 1 a.m. and conducted an investigation.

The victim managed to maintain possession of the item, and Heist left the area.

Following the investigation led by Officer Woodell, Officer Freeman, Cpl. Perkins, and Officer Singleton, Heist was located the next day.

He was issued a citation to appear in Windsor Superior Court, Criminal Division, on March 11 at 8:30 a.m.
