SOUTHBURY — Police arrested a man at Southbury Plaza on Jan. 22 after he caused a disturbance at a TJ Maxx store from which he had previously been banned.
Officers responded to the scene at 100 Main Street North around 7:30 p.m. following reports of a male banging on the store’s windows and screaming.
The man was identified as Justin Lenihan, born on June 16, 1992.
An investigation revealed that Lenihan had been formally trespassed from the store before the incident.
He was taken into custody and charged with first-degree criminal trespass in violation of Connecticut General Statutes 53a-107 and second-degree breach of peace under 53a-181.
Lenihan was released on a $500 non-surety bond.
He is scheduled to appear at Waterbury Superior Court on Jan. 28 at 9 a.m., located at 400 Grand Street in Waterbury.
