WATERTOWN — A routine traffic stop by Watertown Police officers last evening led to the arrest of a 19-year-old man for possession of a stolen firearm.
Officers Civetti, Martino, St. Onge, Parent and Sgt. Vaughan conducted the stop and upon investigation, discovered that Isaiah Louissaint of Waltham was concealing the weapon.
The team’s quick response ensured that Louissaint was safely taken into custody and the firearm was securely recovered.
The subsequent search of Louissaint’s vehicle uncovered additional ammunition, highlighting the potential risk of the situation.
Following the incident, Louissaint was arraigned at Waltham District Court today, where he was deemed dangerous and held on bail.
The Watertown Police Department has praised the vigilance and professionalism of the officers involved.
