STOCKTON SPRINGS — A routine traffic stop by Maine State Police in Waldo County on Jan. 13 led to the arrest of four individuals on various charges, including drug trafficking and illegal firearm possession.
State troopers from the Central Field Troop conducted the investigative stop on Cape Jellison Road following tips of illegal firearm activity and stolen property.
The stop, which occurred in the evening, resulted in the discovery of over 192 grams of an off-white powder suspected to be narcotics and a large bag of drug paraphernalia.
Charges related to the drugs are pending laboratory results.
Nicholas Hart, 38, and Brittany Saucier, 25, were immediately arrested for violating their bail conditions.
Following the traffic stop, a search warrant was obtained and executed the next morning at 27 Cross Lane, a residence linked to Hart and Saucier.
The search uncovered a 22 revolver, a 22 long rifle, a 30-30 lever action hunting rifle, and two muzzleloaders.
Additionally, stolen property valued at $3,000 was recovered and returned to its rightful owner.
Hart was taken to Two Bridges Jail, while Saucier was transported to Knox County Jail.
During the execution of the search warrant, Tyler Damon, 33, was arrested on a Failure to Appear Arrest Warrant.
Raymond Pomeroy Jr., 39, who lived at the Cross Lane address, was already in jail at the time of the search.
He faces charges including Felony Possession of a Firearm by a Prohibited Person and Violating Bail.
The Maine State Police were assisted by the Waldo County Sheriff’s Office and the Searsport Police Department.
The investigation remains ongoing.
