MOUNT HOLLY — A local man was arrested and charged with driving under the influence following a single-vehicle crash on Russellville Road near Hen Farm Rd on Jan. 21.
The Vermont State Police – Rutland Barracks responded to a report of the incident at approximately 2:29 p.m. Upon arrival, troopers found a 2015 Ford F-350 with minor damage.
The road was snow-covered, but the weather was clear.
The operator, identified as 25-year-old Collin Lewis of Mount Holly, was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
Lewis was traveling southbound when he failed to maintain his lane, leading to the crash.
An investigation revealed that Lewis was operating the vehicle under the influence of intoxicants.
He was screened for DUI and taken into custody.
Following his arrest, Lewis was transported to the Rutland Barracks for processing.
He was later released with a citation to appear in court at a future date to face the DUI charge.
No injuries were reported in the incident.
