WARWICK — A 66-year-old Warwick man was arrested on Jan. 17 by the Computer Crimes Unit/Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force on charges related to child pornography.
Donald Kates of 32 Second Point Road was charged with possession and transfer of child pornography following an investigation by the task force.
Kates was processed at the Wickford Barracks and later arraigned in Kent District Court.
Judge Goldman presided over the arraignment and set bail at $5,000 with surety.
Conditions of Kates’ bail include no unsupervised contact with minors and restricted internet use pending the outcome of the case.
