Two vehicles collide at Clarendon intersection

CLARENDON — A two-vehicle crash occurred at the intersection of N Shrewsbury Rd and US RT 7 S in Clarendon on Jan. 21, resulting in significant damage to both vehicles involved.

At 9:44 a.m., Vermont State Police from the Rutland Barracks responded to the scene where Mark Fischer, 72, of Weston, was driving his 2023 Honda Ridgeline west on N Shrewsbury Rd.

Fischer attempted to turn left onto US RT 7 S when he collided with a 2023 Ford F-150 operated by Sean Sheehe, 64, of Clarendon, who was crossing the intersection eastbound on N Shrewsbury Rd.

Both drivers were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the accident, and no injuries were reported.

Neither driver required hospitalization, and both declined medical attention despite the significant damage to their vehicles.

The Clarendon Fire Department assisted Vermont State Police at the scene.

According to authorities, a Vermont Civil Violation Complaint is pending as the investigation into the crash continues.
