Stamford motorcyclist charged in pedestrian collision

STAMFORD — The Stamford Police Department’s Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Squad has completed its investigation into a collision that resulted in severe injuries to a pedestrian at the intersection of Atlantic St. and Tresser Blvd. on the evening of Oct. 30.

According to the investigation, a motorcycle, operated by Kevin Calle, 28, of Stamford, was traveling westbound on Tresser Blvd. when it struck Lucas Honohan, 24, a pedestrian from New York, who was crossing the street.

The impact caused both individuals to be thrown from their respective positions.

Both Calle and Honohan were transported to Stamford Hospital following the incident.

Honohan sustained severe, potentially life-changing injuries, while Calle also suffered serious injuries.

Officer Cory Fisher, following the investigation, obtained an arrest warrant for Calle from the Stamford Superior Court.

Calle turned himself in at the Stamford Police Department on Jan. 20, where the warrant was served.

He faces charges of second-degree assault and reckless operation and was released on a $50,000 bond.

Calle is scheduled for a court appearance on Feb. 3.

The investigation was led by Sgt. Jeffrey Booth and Officer Cory Fisher of the Stamford Police Department.
