Providence woman arrested on obstruction warrant

PROVIDENCE — Rhode Island State Troopers apprehended Jaqaeisha Fields, 24, of Providence, late Monday night on charges stemming from an affidavit and arrest warrant for obstruction of an officer in the execution of duty.

Fields, a resident of 7 Parks Avenue Apt. 3, was taken into custody at 11:31 p.m. following a concerted effort by the State Police Lincoln Woods Barracks and Providence Police Department.

The arrest was the culmination of an ongoing investigation by the barracks, which eventually led to Fields’ location and apprehension by local law enforcement.

Following the arrest, Fields was processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks and detained overnight.

She is scheduled for arraignment at the Sixth Division District Court the following morning.
