Boston police arrest suspect in drug raid in Charlestown

BOSTON — Officers from the Boston Police Department’s Drug Control Unit arrested an 18-year-old suspect on drug charges early Tuesday morning following the execution of a search warrant in Charlestown.

At about 5:15 a.m., on Tuesday, Jan. 21, officers assigned to the Drug Control Unit of District A-1 (Downtown) and District A-1 Detectives arrested Eddiarky Nolasco of Charlestown on charges related to drug trafficking.

During the raid at a residence located at 33 Corey Street, officers uncovered seventeen individually wrapped bags of crack cocaine, weighing approximately six grams.

In addition to the drugs, authorities seized drug packaging materials and $259 in cash.

Nolasco was taken into custody without incident and has been charged with possession with intent to distribute Class B substances.

He is slated for arraignment in Charlestown District Court.

The arrest is part of ongoing efforts by Boston police to combat drug distribution in the city.
