Alburgh woman reports late-night burglary

ALBURGH — A burglary was reported by a local woman in the early hours of Jan. 21, after an unidentified individual entered her home the previous evening.

Megan Jette, 29, called the Vermont State Police to report the burglary at her residence at 1304 Alburgh Springs Road.

The incident occurred at approximately 11:26 p.m. but was only reported several hours later, at 1:31 a.m.

The suspect, whose image was captured on an interior security camera, was seen wearing a light-colored jacket, a winter hat, glasses, and sporting a beard.

Authorities have yet to determine whether the suspect caused any damage or removed property from the home.

Vermont State Police have released the surveillance footage showing the suspect entering Jette’s residence in hopes that the public can aid in identification.

State Police are urging anyone with information regarding the burglary or the suspect to contact Trooper Martin at the St. Albans Barracks at 802-524-5993.
