Man arrested on probation violation warrant in Berkshire

BERKSHIRE — A routine call led to the arrest of a 35-year-old Enosburg man on an outstanding warrant for a probation violation, Vermont State Police said.

Stewart Arbuckle was taken into custody Sunday night after troopers, while responding to a separate incident, encountered him at a residence on Montgomery Road.

According to authorities, Arbuckle had an active warrant for a probation violation.

Following the arrest, he was transported to the Northwest State Correctional Facility and held on $200 bail.

The Vermont State Police – St. Albans Barracks is handling the ongoing investigation.

Further details about the initial probation charge were not immediately available.
