PITTSFIELD — A vehicle rollover on VT RT 100 led to minor injuries for a group of young men from various states on Jan. 18.

Vermont State Police reported that at around 4:47 p.m., a 2018 Honda CR-V, driven by 23-year-old Clayton Perona of St Louis, Missouri, veered off the road and overturned in a river near Hadley Lane.

Perona, along with passengers Ryan Perry, 23, of Wall, New Jersey; Ryan Tuthill, 22, of San Mateo, California; and Jacob Bruck, 22, of New Milford, Connecticut, were all wearing seat belts at the time of the crash.

According to authorities, Perona lost control of the vehicle while turning onto Hadley Lane, causing the car to slide off the edge of a wooden bridge due to wet road conditions, despite the weather being cloudy and the road clear.

The occupants were able to safely exit the vehicle, which sustained significant damage.

Suspected minor injuries were reported for Perona and all passengers except Tuthill, who was unharmed.

None of the vehicle’s occupants sought medical treatment at a hospital.

The Pittsfield Fire Department assisted the Vermont State Police at the scene.

An investigation is ongoing, and a Vermont Civil Violation Complaint is pending.
