WINHALL — A Massachusetts driver was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence following a single-vehicle crash on the night of Jan. 18.
Caylin G. Clavier, 23, of Easthampton, was taken into custody after Vermont State Police responded to an incident at approximately 10:10 p.m. on VT Route 11/30, near the intersection with VT Route 30.
According to authorities, Clavier’s 2004 Ford Ranger was discovered over the guardrail in a mix of rain and snow conditions with wet road surfaces.
The vehicle sustained total damage, but the driver was wearing a seatbelt and did not report any injuries.
Upon interaction with state troopers, Clavier exhibited signs of impairment.
Following the arrest for suspicion of DUI, Clavier was processed at the Manchester Police Department and subsequently released with a citation to appear in court for the DUI charge.
The Winhall Police Department assisted Vermont State Police at the scene of the crash.
