BOSTON — Officers from the Drug Control Unit of District C-6 (South Boston) arrested a man on firearm and drug charges following the execution of a search warrant Saturday morning.
At about 11:15 a.m., on Jan. 18, the South Boston Drug Control Unit arrested Tyrone Turner, 40, of Dorchester, after an ongoing drug investigation led them to 70 Bowdoin Street.
During the search, police confiscated fifteen bags of crack cocaine, various drug paraphernalia, a scale, packaging materials, a .22 Long Rifle, eight live .22 caliber rounds of ammunition, a lower receiver to a Glock, and $272 in U.S. currency.
Turner is facing charges for Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Possession of Ammunition, and Possession with Intent to Distribute Class B drugs.
He is slated to be arraigned at the Dorchester District Court.
