BOSTON — Boston Police Department’s Homicide Unit is seeking information regarding a fatal hit-and-run incident that occurred on Washington Street in Roxbury.
At approximately 8:29 p.m., officers from District D-4 were dispatched to 1829 Washington Street after receiving reports of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle.
Upon arrival, they found two victims: a 20-year-old female with life-threatening injuries and a 23-year-old female with minor injuries.
Both were transported to a local hospital, where the 20-year-old woman was later pronounced dead.
The department’s Fatal Accident Reconstruction Team along with Homicide Detectives arrived at the scene and are now actively searching for a 2021–2023 dark-colored Mercedes small SUV, believed to be involved in the incident.
The suspect vehicle is reported to have sustained damage to the front grille and front light, and is missing its right-side mirror.
