SOMERSET — A cooperative operation between the Somerset Police Detective Division and the Fall River Police Community Action and Suppression Team (CAST) on Jan. 17 led to three arrests following a search warrant execution at a local residence.
The search warrant, obtained by Somerset Detective Donald Cormier, was carried out at 221 New Hampshire Ave, where officers discovered numerous drug paraphernalia and ammunition.
William Cheetham, 52, of Fall River, was arrested on two outstanding warrants.
The first warrant charged him with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, intimidation of a witness, breaking and entering as a misdemeanor, operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license for a second offense, assault and battery on a household or family member, and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.
The second warrant involved charges of assault and battery on a pregnant female and intimidation of a witness.
Amarri Thompson, 32, also from Fall River, was taken into custody on a default warrant for charges that include trespassing and misdemeanor breaking and entering.
Jeffrey Louis, 43, of Fall River, was charged with being a fugitive from justice.
Louis is wanted on two arrest warrants from the State of Rhode Island for drug possession.
Additional charges are pending.
The arrests are part of ongoing efforts by local law enforcement to address drug-related crimes in the community.
