PUTNEY — A routine traffic stop led to a cocaine possession charge for a local man, Vermont State Police said Friday.
Troopers pulled over Lee M. Stockwell, 41, on U.S. Route 5 in Putney for a motor vehicle violation at 11:04 a.m. on Jan. 17.
During the stop, they discovered Stockwell was in possession of cocaine.
Stockwell, a Putney resident, was issued a citation and is scheduled to appear in Vermont Superior Court Windham Criminal Division on Feb. 18 at 8:30 a.m. to answer to the charge.
