SPRINGFIELD — On the night of Jan. 8, Springfield Police Department, assisted by officers from Chester, arrested a local woman following a neighborhood disturbance.
Jathniel M. Weiss, 35, of Springfield, was taken into custody around 9:57 p.m. after police were called to School Street for a report of a fight between neighbors.
According to Springfield police, Weiss allegedly breached her conditions of release.
Officer Callahan, with support from Officers Keefe and Watrous of the Chester Police Department, responded to the scene.
The authorities were able to de-escalate the situation and arrested Weiss without further incident.
Weiss was processed at the Springfield Police Department, where she was fingerprinted and photographed.
She was given a criminal citation to appear at the Vermont Superior Court, Criminal Division, Windsor Unit on Jan. 9 at 12:30 p.m. Weiss is facing charges of violation of conditions of release and disorderly conduct.
Unable to post the $200 cash or surety bail, Weiss was transported to the Southern State Correctional Facility.
