PROVIDENCE — Troopers at the Rhode Island State Police Lincoln Woods Barracks had a busy day with multiple arrests, including individuals wanted on domestic violence and trespassing charges.
At 12:24 p.m., Benjamin Couto, 39, of West Warwick, was taken into custody on an active affidavit and arrest warrant for Domestic Disorderly Conduct from the Woonsocket Police Department.
Couto’s arrest occurred after Troopers responded to the Rhode Island Traffic Tribunal, where Capitol Police had the individual detained.
He was processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks and turned over to Woonsocket authorities.
Later, at 1:45 p.m., Keith Hogan, 51, of Fall River, Massachusetts, was arrested on charges of Domestic Violence- Simple Assault and Domestic Violence- Disorderly Conduct.
Hogan’s arrest resulted from a collaborative investigation between Troopers and the Bristol Police Department.
After processing at the barracks, Hogan was arraigned and released with a scheduled court appearance at the Sixth Division District Court.
Early in the morning, at 12:49 a.m., Terrell Cardoza, 19, of Hyannis, Massachusetts, was arrested for tampering with a motor vehicle and conspiracy, both charges stemming from an East Providence Police Department warrant.
Cardoza’s arrest followed a vehicle stop on Silver Spring Street.
He was processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks and handed over to East Providence Police.
Additionally, at 6 a.m., James Righie, 62, of Pawtucket, was arrested on a trespassing charge, also originating from the East Providence Police Department.
Righie was involved in a single-car accident on Route 95, which led to his apprehension.
He was processed at the barracks and later transported to East Providence Police.
