JOHNSTON — In a series of coordinated efforts, the ACI Investigations Unit and associated task forces executed multiple arrests on January 16.
Beth Kores, 59, of Richmond, Rhode Island, was apprehended for her second offense of violating a no-contact order.
She was arraigned in Third Division District Court and received a $1,000 surety bail.
Khalil Ba, 22, from Attleboro, Massachusetts, was arrested as a Fugitive from Justice from Massachusetts.
After his arraignment in Third Division Court, Ba waived extradition and is being held at the ACI pending his return to Massachusetts.
Tyler Whitford, 32, of Manchester, New Hampshire, faced similar proceedings as a Fugitive from Justice from Pennsylvania.
Following his arraignment and waiving of extradition, Whitford was ordered to be held at the ACI pending his transfer back to Pennsylvania.
The Computer Crimes Unit/Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force took into custody Scott Troia, 32, of Johnston, Rhode Island, on charges of Possession of Child Pornography.
Following his processing at State Police Headquarters, Troia was brought to Third District Court for arraignment.
Associate Judge O’Neill set bail at $10,000 personal recognizance with conditions including restricted Internet access and no unsupervised contact with minors.
Eliseo J Harris, 41, also of Johnston, was arrested by the Rhode Island Violent Fugitive Task Force on charges of Felony Shoplifting, Conspiracy, and Willful Trespass as per a warrant by the Cranston Police Department.
Harris was processed and handed over to Cranston Police without incident.
Greg Anthony, 42, of Providence, was arrested on numerous charges, including multiple counts of Felony Shoplifting and Habitual Shoplifting, as well as Trespassing, and as a Fugitive from Justice on warrants from Massachusetts.
Additionally, he faced several bench warrants for failure to appear for attorney determination on charges including Simple Assault and Shoplifting/Grand Theft.
Anthony was processed and turned over to Cranston Police custody.
Lastly, Lavell Poston, 30, of East Greenwich, Rhode Island, was arrested as a Fugitive from Justice for Armed & Masked Robbery, stemming from the Attleboro Massachusetts Police Department.
Poston was processed, arraigned, and transported to the Adult Correctional Institutions Men’s Intake Center.
