SOUTH PORTLAND — Police arrested Jonathan Hanson, 21, of Buxton on Sunday in connection with a December shooting incident near the Maine Mall in South Portland.

Hanson was taken into custody around 11:30 p.m. on Jan. 14 at a residence on Haines Meadow Road in Buxton following a brief standoff with police.

The arrest stems from a Dec. 18 incident where shots were fired at a vehicle in the parking lot of Kobe Steakhouse at 380 Gorham Road.

No injuries were reported.

South Portland police identified Hanson and Navinn Ean as suspects in the shooting.

Ean remains at large.

On Dec. 23, authorities executed a search warrant at 6 Right Way in Naples, where they seized a blue Dodge Charger believed to be connected to the crime.

The suspects were not present at the time.

Hanson faces charges including reckless conduct with a dangerous weapon and criminal threatening with a dangerous weapon, both Class C felonies.

He was arraigned Monday with bail set at $10,000 cash.

The investigation is ongoing, with South Portland police working in collaboration with Buxton Police Department and Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office.
