NEEDHAM — A 44-year-old Norwood man will be summoned to Dedham District Court following an alleged assault at a Chestnut Street business on Jan. 6.
Police responded to the business around 8:05 p.m. for a report of a past assault.
After investigating, officers determined the man would face charges of assault and battery on a person over 60 and malicious destruction of property under $1,200.
In other incidents, police took reports of:
– A dog bite on Crestview Road on Jan. 6 at 2:30 p.m.
– Missing prescription medication from an Evelyn Road resident on Jan. 7 at 2:48 p.m.
– An attempted scam reported by a Parker Road resident on Jan. 8 at noon
– Stolen headphones from a Harris Avenue address on Jan. 8 at 3:50 p.m.
– Online fraud at a Hewett Circle address on Jan. 8 at 5:35 p.m.
– Lost property reported by a New York resident on Jan. 9 at 8:45 a.m.
– Fraud at a Charles Street address on Jan. 9 at 10:41 a.m.
– An assault at a Central Avenue business on Jan. 9 at 5:35 p.m.
– A customer-employee disturbance at a B Street business on Jan. 9 at 8:57 p.m.
On Jan. 10, police responded to a vehicle crash into town property on Hillside Avenue at 9:12 a.m. No injuries were reported.
Police also arrested a 26-year-old Edison, New Jersey man on Jan. 11 at 9:20 p.m. after a traffic stop on 1st Avenue.
He faces charges including unlicensed operation, possessing fake vehicle documents, and operating an uninsured vehicle with suspended registration.
