Keene police cruiser involved in collision during traffic stop

KEENE — A Keene police cruiser collided with a pickup truck while attempting a traffic stop on Route 9 near Concord Hill at 3:29 p.m. Jan. 15.

Both vehicles sustained significant damage and were towed from the scene.

The pickup truck driver reported no injuries and left in a private vehicle.

The police officer was taken to Cheshire Medical Center for evaluation and later returned to duty.

New Hampshire State Police Troop C is investigating the accident and events leading up to the collision.

Authorities are asking witnesses or those with information about the incident to contact Sgt. Yarosz of New Hampshire State Police Troop C.

The crash occurred as the officer was trying to conduct a motor vehicle stop at the crest of Concord Hill on Route 9.
