ROCKLAND — Four people face charges after a drug deal turned violent in a downtown parking lot early Monday, police said.
Officers responded to reports of an armed robbery at 2 a.m. Jan. 15.
They followed a trail of blood droplets to a nearby residence where they detained two men.
The investigation revealed the incident stemmed from a dispute during a fentanyl and cocaine deal, not a robbery, according to police.
Three people were treated and released from a hospital for minor injuries.
William Yung, 44, of Rockland, was charged with felony drug trafficking, aggravated assault with a dangerous weapon and violation of release conditions.
Police said Yung was out on bail for a previous felony drug trafficking charge.
Hannah Leaman, 40, of St. George, faces charges of felony drug trafficking and reckless conduct with a dangerous weapon.
Michael Humiston, 36, of Rockland, was charged with violation of release conditions.
John Flower, 39, of Rockland, faces charges of aggravated assault with a dangerous weapon, criminal mischief and violation of release conditions.
Police seized drugs and a vehicle involved in the incident.
The investigation is ongoing.
