Man arrested for DUI, leaving scene of crash in Rockingham

ROCKINGHAM — A local man was arrested on charges of driving under the influence and leaving the scene of an accident after a single-vehicle crash on Jan. 10.

Vermont State Police responded to a report of a crash on Brockways Mills Rd in Rockingham at approximately 3:27 p.m. Jamey Raymond, 31, of Rockingham was identified as the driver.

Troopers, assisted by the Springfield Police Department, observed signs of impairment when interacting with Raymond.

Further investigation concluded that Raymond had been operating the vehicle while under the influence of alcohol and had damaged a fence during the incident, which he failed to report.

Raymond was taken into custody and processed at the Westminster Barracks.

He was subsequently released with a citation to appear in the Vermont Superior Court, Windham Criminal Division, on Jan. 28 at 8:30 a.m.
