QUEENSBURY — New York State Police apprehended 22-year-old Quavion S. Parker of Troy, NY, on Jan. 9 following a vehicle pursuit that began in Vermont and concluded with a crash in Queensbury.

At around 12:54 p.m., State Police joined the chase after Fair Haven Police Department in Vermont initiated a pursuit on State Route 4 towards Whitehall, NY.

The suspect had earlier fled a traffic stop in Vermont and eluded several law enforcement agencies across state lines.

The chase ended when Parker, driving a stolen vehicle, crashed into a fence and an unoccupied parked car at the intersection of Ridge Road and State Route 149.

After the crash, Parker attempted to flee on foot but was soon captured by troopers in a wooded area near the site.

A search of the vehicle revealed a loaded handgun, felony weight narcotics, and over $3,000 in cash, all illegally possessed.

The investigation also uncovered that the vehicle had been reported stolen from Middlebury, VT, on Sept. 30, and the license plate was allegedly taken from another vehicle in South Burlington, VT, in December.

Parker faces multiple charges including possession of a controlled substance, possession of a weapon, possession of stolen property, reckless endangerment, and traffic violations.

He was processed at SP Queensbury and arraigned at Warren County Centralized Arraignment Part Court, where he was remanded to Warren County Correctional Facility without bail.

The investigation by State Police is active, and additional charges against Parker are expected.
