READSBORO — A Readsboro man was cited early New Year’s Day for allegedly violating his court-ordered conditions of release, Vermont State Police said.

Police responded to a 911 hang-up call at a residence on King Hill Road at 2:17 a.m. Upon investigation, authorities determined that Casey Pillsbury, 25, had breached two conditions imposed by the court.

The specific nature of the violations was not disclosed, but such conditions typically relate to behavior or activities that a defendant must abstain from while on release.

Pillsbury was issued a citation to appear in Vermont Superior Court Bennington Criminal Division on Feb. 24 at 8:15 a.m. to respond to the charges.

The Vermont State Police, adhering to their policy, did not release any information regarding the victims involved in the incident due to the nature of the alleged offenses.

The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
