WEST GREENWICH — A Florida man was taken into custody late Thursday night after a traffic stop on Route 95 led to the discovery of an outstanding warrant for his arrest.
William Ferrante, 48, of Orlando, was arrested at 9:57 p.m. by state troopers from the Hope Valley Barracks on a Third Division District Court Bench Warrant.
The warrant was issued for his failure to appear for a pretrial conference concerning an original charge of shoplifting from the Warwick Police Department.
Ferrante was transported to the Hope Valley Barracks, where he was processed and then turned over to the Adult Correctional Institution Men’s Intake Center.
