Two charged in December murder in Boston

BOSTON — Two men have been charged in connection with the murder of a New Jersey resident last December, Boston Police announced Tuesday.

Darius Powell, 25, of Woonsocket, Rhode Island, and Daiquan Miller, 25, of Dorchester, were issued arrest warrants by the Boston Police Homicide Unit for the murder of Keith Cousin, 37, of Bayonne, New Jersey.

Both suspects are already in custody on unrelated charges and will be arraigned at a later date.

The investigation began when officers responded to a ShotSpotter activation at 114 Devon Street around 10:24 p.m. on Dec. 9.

They found Cousin with multiple gunshot wounds.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Boston Police Homicide Unit continues to investigate the circumstances of the incident.
