BOSTON — Boston Police Department officers arrested two men Monday evening following an armed robbery at a Charlestown store.
At about 6:17 p.m., officers from District A-15 responded to a call at 134 Bunker Hill Street, where a store had been robbed at gunpoint.
The suspects had fled with an undisclosed amount of cash, heading on Monument Street toward O’Reilly Way.
Detectives arrived at the scene, obtaining security footage and circulating descriptions and photos of the suspects to officers in the vicinity.
They were last seen near the Bunker Hill Development running toward 85 Medford Street.
During a search of the area, officers encountered one suspect exiting an apartment and proceeded to detain him.
The second suspect was apprehended after responding to a knock on his apartment door.
The apartment was subsequently secured for a search warrant.
Michael Dacey, 41, of Wakefield, and Corey Roy, 40, of Charlestown, were charged with armed and masked robbery.
Dacey received an additional charge for providing a false name upon arrest.
Both are set to be arraigned at Charlestown District Court.
