QUECHEE — The Vermont State Police arrested a local man on charges of driving under the influence on New Year’s Eve.
At approximately 6:40 p.m., police conducted a traffic stop on US Route 4 at the intersection of Center of Town Road after observing motor vehicle violations.
The driver, John McKeon, 65, of Quechee, was found to be showing signs of impairment.
Following an investigation at the scene, McKeon was taken into custody without incident.
He was transported to the Hartford Police Department for processing.
McKeon was later cited and released.
This incident marks McKeon’s second DUI offense.
