1 min read

BOSTON — A routine traffic stop in Dorchester led to the arrest of two individuals after Boston Police recovered drugs and a firearm on Monday.

Officers from District B-2 in Roxbury pulled over a vehicle at 43 Hartford Street after a license plate check revealed revoked insurance and a suspended driver’s license.

The driver, Gregory Skillman, 49, of Dorchester, and passenger Dadizi Poles, 45, of Allston, were arrested following the stop, which started on Blue Hill Avenue and continued to Quincy Street.

Skillman was taken into custody after officers confirmed he was driving without a valid license.

During the stop, police found Poles in possession of a plastic bag containing what appeared to be crack cocaine.

A further search led to the discovery of a concealed Ruger LCP .380 Auto firearm with a laser sight in Poles’ bra.

The suspects were booked at District B-2, where additional suspected cocaine was found in Poles’ wallet.

They are expected to face multiple charges in Roxbury District Court, including possession of a Class B substance and various firearm offenses.
