BOSTON — The Boston Police Department issued a missing person alert for 61-year-old Elba Portillo of East Boston, who was last seen on the morning of Friday, December 13.
Portillo disappeared around 9:30 a.m. after leaving her home on Marion Street for her workplace on Meridian Street, but she never arrived.
Authorities are concerned for her well-being, as she has a history of going missing and is believed to suffer from insomnia and possible early stages of dementia.
Described as a Hispanic female, approximately 5 feet 3 inches tall, weighing around 140 pounds, with light skin, brown hair, and brown eyes, Portillo was last seen wearing a black jacket, purple sweatpants, and carrying a crossbody brown purse.
The police have asked the public to be on the lookout, especially around the waterfront areas of East Boston, a place Portillo is known to frequent.
