WILLIAMSTOWN — A man was arrested Thursday morning for second degree aggravated domestic assault and violating conditions of release, according to Vermont State Police.
State Police responded to a family disturbance call at 10:21 a.m. on Chelsea Road.
The investigation revealed that Christopher Wood, 39, of Williamstown, had assaulted a family member and breached court-ordered conditions of release.
Wood was also wanted on an active arrest warrant related to a separate case.
After fleeing the scene, Wood was discovered by Troopers hiding under the floor of a nearby barn.
He was apprehended and taken to the Berlin State Police Barracks for processing.
Following the arrest, Wood was transported to the Northeast Correctional Facility where he is being held on $60,000 bail.
