WATERBURY — Officers from the Waterbury Police Department’s Auto Theft Task Force (ATTF) apprehended three juveniles in connection with a stolen vehicle on Dec. 26 at approximately 4:38 p.m.
The ATTF, while patrolling the area of Sumac Street and Birch Place, located a 2018 Jaguar F-Pace reported stolen from Nassau County, NY, parked on Birch Place.
Three young males were observed leaving the vehicle and heading down Long Hill Road.
The suspects, identified as juveniles from Waterbury, were taken into custody without incident.
The driver, a 15-year-old male, faces charges including larceny of a motor vehicle for the first offense and operating a motor vehicle without a license.
One 16-year-old passenger was also charged with larceny of a motor vehicle for the first offense.
The second passenger, 16, who had a prior arrest by the ATTF in July, was charged with a second offense of larceny of a motor vehicle.
