SPRINGFIELD — A student at Springfield High School has been cited for criminal threatening following an incident that prompted a school lockdown last week, according to the Springfield Police Department.
The investigation began when authorities were notified on Nov. 21 at around 10:16 a.m. of a threatening exchange between two students.
The altercation was reportedly linked to a separate incident that occurred at the high school the day before.
In response to the threats, Springfield High School was briefly placed on lockdown.
Officers Woodell, Guzzo, and Lt. Deslauriers led the investigation, which culminated in the citation of a youthful offender on Nov. 27 at 1:45 p.m. The case has been referred to the Greater Falls Community Justice Center for further action.
