DUXBURY — A routine traffic stop by Duxbury police on Christmas Day led to the arrest of a Rockland woman on multiple charges, including possession of cocaine.

Sgt. Joseph Maffeo pulled over a Honda Civic with defective equipment on Summer Street on Dec. 25.

The driver, identified as 43-year-old Lauren Keefe, was found with an open container of alcohol and several clear plastic baggies containing cocaine, police said.

Keefe faces charges of possession of a Class B substance, having an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle, and an equipment violation.

The department’s Crisis Intervention Team will review the incident and offer assistance to Keefe if necessary, according to Chief Michael Carbone.
